After years in a demanding corporate career that consumed weekends and evenings, Jessi Gillis found herself yearning for a simpler path. The inspiration for Metro Van Nature Cards came from Gillis's own challenges in planning outdoor adventures. She often found herself spending precious time scrolling through Google Maps, trying to decide where to explore next. That's when a simple yet brilliant idea struck her: What if there was an easier way to discover new walks? What if people could simply shuffle a deck of cards, pick one, and head out on an adventure?
This spark of inspiration led her to create a carefully curated collection of 60 different walks across the Metro Vancouver area. Each card features a specific location, complete with helpful details about the trail on the back, including whether it's dog-friendly - a feature important to Gillis as a dog owner herself. The cards are designed to take the stress out of decision-making and make nature exploration effortless and spontaneous.
Launched just last Friday, Metro Van Nature Cards represents more than just a business venture for Gillis - it's her way of helping others discover the mental wellness benefits of nature. As someone with deep roots in the area - her Italian immigrant grandparents settled here in the 1950s - she brings an authentic love for the region to her project.
"It's really about the well-being of people," Gillis explains. "Making decisions can be stressful and cause anxiety. These cards take the thinking out of it - you just pick a card and go explore and have fun." Her vision extends beyond just selling cards; she aims to educate people about nature, climate change, and the unique beauty of Metro Vancouver's temperate rainforest environment.

Return Policy Any Product that is returned for a refund must be in the original packaging, undamaged, and resalable. All requests for refunds will be subject to a restocking fee and processing fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) or an amount deemed appropriate by RWCE depending on the actual price of the product. You are responsible for the risk of loss, shipping, and handling fees for returning the Product. Some products marketed and sold by RWCE are nonrefundable. Refund requests after 30 days from the purchase date will not be processed. No exceptions will be made to this policy unless another time frame is specifically provided in the particular product marketing campaign. If the Product return is subject to a money-back guarantee, then a full refund will be issued as long as the product is in the original condition without wear and tear or any other damage. Shipping and handling charges will not be refunded on any Product returns including those subject to the money-back guarantee.
Cancellations Requests for cancellation of any monthly billing must be in writing and mailed to Retire With Carla Enterprises 1400 Salter Street New Westminster, BC V3M 6Z4 Canada unless otherwise specified. You may decide to cancel at any time, but charges will not be prorated. You must cancel before your billing date in order to avoid a charge for the following month.
Coaching Programs must be canceled via mail to the address listed above or by e-mail to Carla@RetireWithCarla.com. Coaching Programs may be canceled at any time; however, the coaching fees are nonrefundable. If you are not actively participating in your Coaching Program, including but not limited to coaching sessions, then RWCE will offer you a thirty (30) day courtesy period to fully engage in your coaching. If you fail to reengage within this thirty (30) day period, then your Coaching Program will be deemed canceled. RWCE will not be responsible for cancellations sent via email, but are not received by RWCE.
Bank Check Policy A twenty-five dollar ($25.00) fee will be charged if your check payment is returned to RWCE for any reason (i.e., insufficient funds, account closing, etc.). RWCE assumes no responsibility for fees, charges, or any other penalty that may be imposed by your bank as a result of an unpaid check.
No Unlawful or Prohibited Use
As a condition of your use of the website(s), you warrant to RWCE that you will not use the website for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by the TOU. You may not use the RWCE website in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the website or interfere with any other party's use and enjoyment of the website.
